Maggie Amato is a BISO for Salesforce, partnering with the business to deliver Trust-first products. Being a part of the integrated business team and welcomed to the table as a strategic partner has been a strategic game-changer as a business practice. She advocates for risk management and proper business IT hygiene plus works to integrate teams at various levels for optimal delivery. Prior to joining Salesforce, Mrs. Amato was the Cyber Strategy & Portfolio Director at Dell Technologies where she led the agile transformation and lean strategic portfolio planning process. She was also at Aetna where she ran the cloud security program in partnership with control owners and internal architecture partners.
Before joining the private sector, Mrs. Amato had an impactful tenure in the public sector. In the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services she was the Director of a public-private partnership program that was created in response to congressional legislation during her career. The program was designed to facilitate information sharing and healthcare specific data analysis between the public and private sector. Previous to her Director role, Ms. Amato was the Deputy Director for Security Design + Innovation at HHS where she built out the program and managed hundreds of innovative security solution evaluations.
Prior to joining HHS, Ms. Amato worked for Booz Allen Hamilton, providing innovative security and technology solutions to public sector clients including the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Military Sealift Command. She also previously served as a legislative specialist at the Office of the Secretary of Defense and a legislative assistant for the non-profit Federally Funded Research and Development Center, The MITRE Corporation. Maggie currently resides out west with her family and enjoys hiking and good wine!
